Hotel Regulations & Guest Service Agreement

1. Reservations & Bookings

Welcome to Sterling Hotel Puri. By making a reservation through our website, phone, or third-party booking channels, you agree to comply with all hotel regulations and terms outlined below.

  • Age Requirement: Primary guests must be at least 18 years of age to check into the hotel.
  • Advance Deposit: A minimum of 50% advance payment (or 100% during peak dates) is required at the time of reservation to guarantee the booking.
  • Rate Validity: Room rates are quoted in INR (₹) per room per night and are subject to applicable taxes (GST).
Mandatory Government Identification: According to Government of India regulations, all guests (Indian & Foreign nationals) must present a valid government-issued photo ID with address upon check-in. PAN Cards are strictly not accepted as proof of identity or address. Foreign nationals must present a valid Passport and Visa/e-Visa.

2. Flexible 24x7 Check-In & Check-Out Policies

  • 24x7 Check-In: Guests can check into the hotel at any hour of the day or night. Our front desk operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • 24x7 Check-Out: Check-out is calculated on a full 24-hour cycle from your time of check-in (e.g. check-in at 6:00 PM grants check-out until 6:00 PM on your departure date).
  • Extended Stay Requests: Requests to extend beyond your 24-hour cycle can be made directly at the 24/7 front desk, subject to availability.

3. Occupancy & Child Policy

  • Maximum Occupancy: Standard rooms allow up to 2 adults and 1 child under 6 years without extra mattress. Suites allow up to 4 occupants with an extra bed charge.
  • Children (0 - 5 Years): Stay complimentary sharing existing bedding with parents.
  • Children (6 - 12 Years): Charged at ₹1,000 per night inclusive of breakfast.
  • Extra Adult (12+ Years): Charged at ₹1,500 per night with extra mattress & breakfast.

4. Hotel House Rules & Guest Conduct

To ensure a serene and luxury experience for all guests, Sterling Hotel maintains strict property guidelines:

  • Non-Smoking Policy: All guest rooms, balconies, and enclosed public spaces are 100% smoke-free. A cleaning fee of ₹5,000 will be assessed for smoking inside guest rooms. Designated outdoor smoking areas are available.
  • Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are enforced between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM. Loud music or disruptive disturbances are prohibited.
  • Visitors Policy: Visitors are permitted in the hotel lobby only until 8:00 PM. No outside visitors are allowed into guest rooms after 8:00 PM for security reasons.
  • Alcohol Consumption: Alcohol consumption is strictly restricted to designated lounge areas and room service. Public intoxication is strictly forbidden.

5. Property Damage & Liability

Guests are expected to treat hotel inventory and property with care. The primary guest registered will be held financially responsible for any loss, damage, or destruction caused to hotel fixtures, linens, furniture, or equipment by themselves or their visitors.

6. Valuables & Security

Electronic safes are provided in privilege suites. Sterling Hotel management accepts no liability for loss, theft, or damage of money, jewelry, or personal belongings left unattended in rooms or common areas.

7. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of your stay or booking shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Puri, Odisha.
